Ball Of Fury Cert: 12A
This film hit the cinema on Boxing day but it a let down in my eyes from what the movie trailers I saw of the film I don’t normally watch them as it show the better then it really is and in the case that is the truth in parts of the film it did live up to its Comedy title and actually make me laugh like when Maggie (Maggie Q) niece of Master Wong the spiritual guidance of blind Ping-Pong sage and restaurateur Wong was playing them 4 guys and beating them why taking a order for the restaurateur and when she beat them they tired to beat her up but fail as she kicked all there butts
In normally sports films you don’t see much playing of the sport that it is actually about but in this one they have gone down a different line and you actually got to watch a lot of the Ping-Pong
Well let me get back to how it all starts:-
It all starts with Randy Daytona aged 12 playing for his Country against some Mad Germany bloke and when going back for a lop pass he travels back without looking and falls over and knocks him self out and is unable to carry on in the match, but he finally quits the game that year and losing his father who placed a bet with arch-fiend Feng (Christopher Walken), which Daytona father is unable to play so they kill his father,
After 20 years out of the game the FBI come calling on Daytona to help them nail arch-fiend Feng, Daytona agrees in the end as that gives him a chance to nail his fathers killer, but after some many years out of the game he knows it wont be easy to get back in to the swing of things so the FBI call upon the Ping-Pong master Master Wong who is blind but his Niece trains Daytona, just before they go to the Ping-Pong Tournament that arch-fiend Feng sets ever year Daytona find out that Master Wong was the teacher of arch-fiend Feng before he turn to the evil side
The Tournament is to take place in Feng’s mysterious jungle compound and the most unique Ping-Pong tournaments ever staged, Daytona faces such players as his long-ago Olympics opponent, the still-vicious Karl Wolfschtagg (Mr. Lennon),
I wont tell you how it end just incase you have yet to watch the film I hope this little review as made up your mind weather to go and watch it or not or buy it on DVD when it comes out, so until next time thank you for reading
