This film hit the cinema on Boxing day but it a let down in my eyes from what the movie trailers I saw of the film I don’t normally watch them as it show the better then it really is and in the case that is the truth in parts of the film it did live up to its Comedy title and actually make me laugh like when Maggie (Maggie Q) niece of Master Wong the spiritual guidance of blind Ping-Pong sage and restaurateur Wong was playing them 4 guys and beating them why taking a order for the restaurateur and when she beat them they tired to beat her up but fail as she kicked all there butts

In normally sports films you don’t see much playing of the sport that it is actually about but in this one they have gone down a different line and you actually got to watch a lot of the Ping-Pong

Well let me get back to how it all starts:-

It all starts with Randy Daytona aged 12 playing for his Country against some Mad Germany bloke and when going back for a lop pass he travels back without looking and falls over and knocks him self out and is unable to carry on in the match, but he finally quits the game that year and losing his father who placed a bet with arch-fiend Feng (Christopher Walken), which Daytona father is unable to play so they kill his father,

After 20 years out of the game the FBI come calling on Daytona to help them nail arch-fiend Feng, Daytona agrees in the end as that gives him a chance to nail his fathers killer, but after some many years out of the game he knows it wont be easy to get back in to the swing of things so the FBI call upon the Ping-Pong master Master Wong who is blind but his Niece trains Daytona, just before they go to the Ping-Pong Tournament that arch-fiend Feng sets ever year Daytona find out that Master Wong was the teacher of arch-fiend Feng before he turn to the evil side

The Tournament is to take place in Feng’s mysterious jungle compound and the most unique Ping-Pong tournaments ever staged, Daytona faces such players as his long-ago Olympics opponent, the still-vicious Karl Wolfschtagg (Mr. Lennon),

I wont tell you how it end just incase you have yet to watch the film I hope this little review as made up your mind weather to go and watch it or not or buy it on DVD when it comes out, so until next time thank you for reading

The Game Plan Cert: PG

Posted by Wayne Saliba | Films | Saturday 15 December 2007 12:05 pm

Yet another film by the Ex WWE wrestler The Rock since he move to the movies he as no reason to look back until now I feel this role was just not him, yes he played the gay guy in Be Cool but he could actually make that work but in this one he goes from a player to a father within 2 weeks which could happen but not the way it happen in this film,

Here is a little about the film:-

The Rock plays a quarter back but is yet to get that championship ring and he is coming to the end of his career with the team but the season that he feels that he is going to go all the way his past comes back to hit him, in the way of his daughter turning up that he didn’t know that he had as when the little girl was born her mother just up and left not telling The Rock that he was a father, but he takes her in and looks after her at first you have you funny bits like she takes his thousands of pounds bed that he got to help his back and he as a Sports car which the little girl doesn’t feel safe driving around in but after a couple of talks she gets in and they head of to a party where he ends up leaving his little girl at the party and not remember until half the way back home when he does a u-turn and picks her up

If you like the Rock then you wouldn’t want to thing to much of this film as it may bring your thinking of him down a peg or 2, I am going to end it here so until next time Thanks for reading

Another film from American pie, but yet still turning out new story lines, you would have fought by now after the 6th film they would have been run out of ideas by now but yet they still have more coming out,

If you are a American Pie fan like my self you will have to see this film, this should be on the top of your list when it comes out that is, if it comes out in the cinema as there is more beer and messing about then there was in the Naked mile,

Going back to American pie 1 with was brought out in 1999 each American pie that is released they just been getting better and better and this one does not let no one down, I have to say it could be one of the best that they have made but I will let you make your own mind up about that,

Well for this review that is all for now and I don’t want to tell you all that happens as there would be no point you watching the film then,
